I’ve always been obsessed with age.
As a girl, I’d flip through fashion mags and skip straight to the part where they revealed how old someone was — how old she was when she launched her fashion label, landed her dream job, had a big break, or finally left the life that wasn’t hers (and moved to Paris or Tuscany).
I grew up tracking every milestone like it came with an expiry date.
I’ve spent a lifetime worrying that time was running out — like dreams came with a countdown clock, and if you didn’t begin early enough, you’d missed your shot.
That fear and obsession is exactly why I created It’s Never Too Late to Be Extraordinary.
The Never Too Late podcast is where I spotlight the reinventers. The late bloomers. The quiet (or noisy!) comeback queens and kings.
The people who went from overlooked to unstoppable, even after detours and divorce, health crises and heartbreaks, career pivots and crushed plans. Even after years of feeling ‘off-script’.

Growing up, I wanted to be so many things — a global pop icon like Beyoncé, a spellbinding storyteller like J.K. Rowling, a quirky lawyer like Ally McBeal.
Or an edgy Vogue editor like Corinne Roitfeld. But mostly, a musical-theatre star belting it out on Broadway aka Idina Menzel.
In my imagination, I was everywhere and everyone at once —
swanning around Paris in skinny black leather pants at Fashion Week,
dancing under hot lights in sequins in front of die-hard sweaty fans,
firing off ‘You can’t handle the truth!’ in courtrooms lined with mahogany and quite judgment,
or holed up in a Scottish pub scribbling the next great literary masterpiece.
I never wanted just one life. I wanted all of them.
I’m now a solo mama of three little people in her 40s, and a woman stitched together from grit, heartbreak, ambition, and a childlike spirit that stubbornly refuses to lose its sense of wonder.
I love so many things about life. Sunshine and saltwater soothe my soul.
Singing and dancing wake up the part of me that still believes life can flip into a flash-mob at any moment. (Hi Hugh, I’m ready for my Tony performance whenever you are.)
Binge watching Architectural Digest/Vogue video walk tours of stunning homes? My guilty pleasure. Beautiful spaces and beautiful stories are what I crave most.
My path hasn’t been neat. It’s been chaotic, mistake-ridden, and full of pivots I didn’t always choose but somehow needed.
From my prosecution days and a lifetime spent in courtrooms, I learned that performance, persuasion, finding your voice, truth, and presence matter just as much as the law.
I loved theatre long before I ever loved advocacy. Maybe that’s why the courtroom always felt like a stage, and why reinvention now feels like sitting down at the desk to write a new script.
Now I’m in my next act …. a novel on the burn, a podcast that lights me up, and a whole new storyline cracking open beneath me.
Everything I’ve lived shapes what I offer now: a fierce belief that you can ‘unbrand’ yourself at any age and a knowing-ness that self-abandonment is the fastest soul-death there is.
People will always have their own versions of your story. But the only one that actually matters is the one you decide to write from here.
